Thank you for your request under the Official Information Act 1982 (the Act) on 24 June 2021 
for: 
“How many of these positive tests have returned a cycle threshold of 35 or more?"” 
On 6 July 2021, the Ministry of Health (the Ministry) communicated a decision on your request 
and withheld this part of your request under section 9(2)(a) of the Act, to protect the privacy of 
natural persons. Following your complaint to the Ombudsman and the Ombudsman’s final 
opinion, the Ministry is now in a position to release this information to you. 
Please find attached an excel spreadsheet detailing a list of all CT values available to the 
Ministry for COVID-19 cases.
