When: Thursday 20th May from 11.45am to 2pm
Where Beehive Theatrette, Ground Floor, Executive Wing, Parliament Buildings, Wellington
Mix and mingle in the Grand Hall from 11.45am – 12.20am, followed by the lock up from 12.30pm – 2pm.

Terms and Conditions for attending the Prime Minister’s social sector Budget 2019 lock‐up

Attendance at this event is by invitation only and is limited by available space.
By registering your interest to attend, you agree to respect the rules of the lock‐up. These rules apply to all guests in
the lock‐up. Compliance with the rules will be monitored and is taken seriously. Any individual or organisation that
under
breaches the embargo rules may be refused permission to attend future lock‐ups.
The terms and conditions for the social sector Budget Lock‐up are:
1. No information (including but not limited to text, voice, images or data) may be transmitted, received or
released in any manner from the social sector Budget Lock‐up from 12:30pm until the embargo is lifted at
2.00pm on Thursday, 20 May 2021. Please note this includes social media. This restriction applies irrespective
of whether the information is about the Budget or not.

2. Mobile phones do not need to be surrendered before entering the lock‐up, but must be turned off or switched
to flight mode until the embargo is lifted.
3. No one will be permitted to leave the venue once Budget information has been distributed. Access to
bathroom facilities will be available.
4. At 2.00pm staff will announce the end of the lock‐up, which is when the embargo on information is lifted and
guests may leave the venue.

In the unlikely event that the building has to be evacuated before 2.00pm due to an emergency, the embargo
will not
be lifted. People will be directed to leave immediately but they will not be allowed to transmit or communicate Budget
information.
