Kia Ora Andrew,
Great stuff.
Very much appreciate the open, constructive way in which you and your amazing colleagues have approached this.
I have copied Bonnie into this email and she will reach out to Alison shortly to square everything away.
Nga mihi,
Scott

Kia ora Scott,
The message I have from Alison Dangerfield (Area Manager|Kaiwhakahaere ā‐Takiwā) who has been working on
these is that they are “absolutely fine”. Also “no problems with size, design or colour”.
Alison has offered these words that I endorse:
Heritage New Zealand has looked at the proposed validators for the Wellington Railway Station and is of the view
that there will be no adverse heritage effects from their installation. Their installation is a balance of visibility and
amenity with appropriate size and usability. Heritage New Zealand is able to fully support this installation.
Alison will be our point of contact – can you forward her details to Bonnie so that they can connect?
Ngā mihi
Andrew

Morena,
Thanks. Yes, am sure we can land things very quickly. Will Jamie be your single point of contact? If so, I
will get one of my direct reports to be ours.
Nga mihi,
Scott

Mōrena Scott,
Great to catch up yesterday.
Thanks for sending this through. I have forwarded it to our team and asked them for immediate comments and also
for a single point of contact to progress. Who would that person be for your organisation?
I am sure, following a quick chat to the Central Director (Jamie Jacobs) yesterday, that it will not take much to ensure
we are on the same page.
Ngā mihi
Andrew

Andrew,
Great to catch‐up earlier.
As discussed, here are some of the latest illustrations of what we are thinking the validators would look like.
As you can see, they are now almost fully our dark blue/grey Metlink colour, with some, limited other brighter
Metlink colours to help people know where to tag on and tag off. Just to note that the top of the validators are the
same dark blue/grey that you see on most parts of the validators (an earlier version had the tops our lime green
Metlink colour – this is no longer the case). This latest design has significantly benefited from the workshops we
have held with the accessibility communities who have indicated their strong preference for the way in which we
have now sought to portray the validators.
Let me know if you have any questions.
Before any further correspondence is entered into by my team, I want to ensure we are all on the same page.
All the very best,
2
Scott
