Official Information Act request: Import of products under HS Code 3002.15.00
Thank you for your email dated 19 July 2021 to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs & Trade,
requesting information under the Official Information Act 1982 (the Act). Your request has
been transferred to Stats NZ as the information related to your request is believed to be more
closely connected with the functions of this agency.
You have requested the following information:
‘… trade statistics for the imported product with HS Code 3002.15.00 (HS 2017 Edition)
with the following data fields.
1) Year
2) Total quantity of goods/items for the year (number of units)
3) Total dollar value of goods/items for the year
Please provide details for year range from 2015 to 2021.’
The information in the following table provides the answer to Question 1 and Question 3. This
information was drawn from imports data publicly available on Stats NZ’s
Infoshare platform -
which is a publicly accessible source of data that can be selected to meet the requirements of
the user. Please note that data for April – June 2021 are provisional only.

Stats NZ does not hold information about the quantity of produce imported under HS Code
3002.15.00, as you’ve requested in Question 2. Accordingly, your request for this information
is refused under section 18(g) of the Act, on the grounds that Stats NZ does not hold this
information and we have no reason to believe it to be held by another department, organisation
of Minister of the Crown.
