Your Official Information Act request, reference: GOV-013049
Thank you for your email of 2 August 2021, asking for the following information under the Official
Information Act 1982 (the Act):
Can I please have the payment rates for child care accident compensation for the years 2007-2012.
Our response
Childcare may be paid as social rehabilitation to a client (under section 81 of the Accident Compensation
(AC) Act 2001) if:
• the client requires help with childcare because their injury prevents them from undertaking care
activities for their child or children; and
• no family, whanau, or other supports can reasonably be expected to provide childcare.
The following four tables contain ACC’s rates for childcare; all are shown exclusive of GST.
