Thank you for your email of 9 August 2021, asking for the following information under the Official
Information Act 1982 (the Act):
Please supply the report mentioned in this paragraph...
"This memorandum refers to and includes a link to a report, the External Medical Panels Post
Implementation Review (June 2018). We have not included that report as it does not include ACC’s
recommendation to disestablish the Panel. Therefore, we do not consider that it is within the scope
of your request."
On 6 September 2021, we wrote to you advising that due to the need for consultation we were
extending the timeframe for our decision on your request to 4 October 2021. We have now completed
our consultation work, and our decision is to withhold the report in ful .
We consider that withholding this information is necessary to maintain the effective conduct of public
affairs through the free and frank expression of opinions to employees of an organisation in the course
of their duty. This decision is made under section 9(2)(g)(i) of the Act.
We have considered the public interest in the information withheld and are of the view it does not
outweigh the interests being protected.
