MBIE’s Response
Questions 1 and 2
1. How expressions of interest were called for;
2. What was the recruitment process for these roles;
MBIE carried out a targeted recruitment for the member role. As previously advised, this is done in
circumstances where the approach is an effective way to recruit for a role where specialist skills are
sought.
For the Chair role, Hon Peter Hodgson was reappointed by the Minister of Research, Science and
Innovation, for a second three year term. No other applications were sought.
