According to the Essential Services Workforce Factsheet released by MBIE there are
1,125,000 Essential Service Workers in New Zealand. Please advise the number of Essential
Workers earning below the current Living Wage of $22.75 per hour.
We do not have any specific income or hourly rate information of the essential services workforce.
We estimated the number of essential services workers based on the total number of people
employed within each industry, occupation, and region as of April 2020.
