Official  Information  Act  request  relating  to  COVID-19  vaccine  certificates  for 
domestic use 
 
Thank  you  for  your  request  made  under  the  Official  Information  Act  1982  (the  Act), 
received on 13 September 2021. You requested: 
 
“1) Copies of all briefings to Cabinet or any minister that deal with the topic 
of  COVID-19  vaccine  certificates  for  domestic  use,  dated  since  9  April. 
 
2)  Copies  of  all  other  reports  generated  by  DPMC  that  deal  with  the  topic  of 
COVID-19 vaccine certificates for domestic use, dated since 9 April.” 
 
I  believe  that  the  first  part  of  your  request  for  information  (bolded  above)  is  more 
closely connected to the functions of the Minister for COVID-19 Response, Hon Chris 
Hipkins.  Accordingly,  I  have  decided  under  section  14(b)(ii)  of  the  Act  to  transfer  this 
part  of  your  request  to  the  Minister.  The  second  part  of  the  request  has  not  been 
transferred, and the Department of the Prime Minister and Cabinet will respond in due 
course. 
 
Minister Hipkins has the usual timeframes under the Act from receipt of this transfer to 
make a decision on your request.
