Thank you for your Official Information Act Request of 1 October 2021 to the 
Department of Corrections – Ara Poutama Aotearoa (Corrections), requesting 
information regarding Covid-19 related funding and spending.  
 
Corrections previously extended the timeframe of our response under section 
15A(1)(b) of the OIA. We are now advising you that we have decided to grant your 
request but are unable to do this by 13 December 2021. We have prepared the draft 
response but due to unforeseen circumstances, the sign out has been delayed. We 
will provide you our response as soon as possible. Please accept our apologies for 
this further delay.
