Dear Victoria Muninn
Official Information Act request relating to the US Defense Advanced Research
Projects Agency
Thank you for your Official Information Act 1982 (the Act) request received on
3 October 2021. You requested:
“
I require a list of all organisations subject to the Act who have a partnership or working
relationship with the US Defense Advanced Research Projects Agency.”
We are only in a position to respond to your request as it relates to the Department of the
Prime Minister and Cabinet (DPMC). If you are interested in information about any such
partnerships or working relationships with other government agencies, I suggest you
approach them directly, if you have not done so already. Te Kawa Mataaho Public Service
Commission has a list of public service leaders with links to each of the relevant agency
websites at:
www.publicservice.govt.nz/our-work/psces/public-service-leaders. We have undertaken searches of information held by DPMC and checked with those
business units within DPMC that may hold relevant information. No information about any
such partnership or working relationship with the United States Defense Advanced Research
Projects Agency and DPMC has been identified. I am therefore refusing your request to
DPMC under section 18(e) of the Act, on the basis that no such document exists.
You have the right to ask the Ombudsman to investigate and review my decision under
section 28(3) of the Act.
We do not intend to publish this response on DPMC’s website.
Yours sincerely
Tony Lynch
