[FYI request #17022 email]
Dear Nabilla,
Thank you for your email of 03 October 2021 to the Ministry of Business, Innovation and Employment
(MBIE) requesting under the Official Information Act 1982 (the Act) the following information:
1. Of those people that are eligible for One-off residence visa, how many are eligible
for the phase 2 application (March 2022)?
2. Of those people eligible for the phase 2 application, how many are included on the
priority list (earning twice median wage & jobs that required registration)?
I am writing to advise you that MBIE will provide a response but needs to extend the time available to
answer your request. MBIE’s response will be sent to you no later than 8 November 2021.
The reason for the extension applies to section 15A(1)(b) of the Act as consultations necessary to make a
decision on the request are such that a proper response to the request cannot be made within the original
time limit.
You have the right to seek an investigation and review by the Ombudsman of this decision, in accordance
with section 28(3) of the Act. Information about how to make a complaint is available at
www.ombudsman.parliament.nz or freephone 0800 802 602.
Yours sincerely
