Thank you for your correspondence of 07 October 2021.  You requested: 
•  Please provide a copy of the crash report/investigation made in relation to 
the fatality which occurred on Lake Road, Belmont, Auckland on March 9 
2021, involving a person on a bicycle. 
•  Please also indicate if any subsequent charges were laid in relation to the 
incident. 
Your request has been considered in accordance with the Official Information Act 
1982.    There is currently a matter before the court in relation to this incident.   
Therefore, all information has been withheld subject to: 
•  Section 6(c)  -  Any agency may refuse to disclose any information 
requested if the disclosure of the information would be likely to prejudice 
the maintenance of the law, including the prevention, investigation and 
detection of offences, and the right to a fair trial. 
 
If you believe that some of the information that we have provided to you is 
incorrect, please let us know and we wil  consider how we can assist you in that 
regard.  
 
You have the right to ask the Ombudsman to review my decision if you are not 
satisfied with Police’s response to your request.
