Dear Mr McLean 
Thank you for your request, received on 19 December 2021, for the following information under the 
Of icial Information Act 1982 (the Act): 
•  “The supply of Final and Reserve price data that include the timestamps” 
 
By 28 February 2022 the Authority intends to publish the final energy price and final reserve price 
files exactly as received from the pricing manager (with the timestamps and without the Fast 
Instantaneous Reserves (FIR) and Sustained Instantaneous Reserves (SIR) megawatt values, as 
this information does not come from the pricing manager, is not prices, and is available elsewhere 
on the EMI website) for al  months from July 2009 to January 2022. This wil  be available on the 
EMI website.  
Thereafter, this data will be published each month (for the preceding month). Please note data will 
not be published until all prices on all days of the preceding month are final. If prices are still 
interim the publication wil  be delayed until they are final, that might be months or years later – for 
example if their prices have been held interim pending investigation of an Undesirable Trading 
Situation claim (UTS).  
Therefore, your request is declined under s18(d) of the Act as this information wil  soon be made 
publicly available. You have the right to seek an investigation and review by the Ombudsman of 
this decision. Information about how to make a complaint is available at
