Official Information Act request regarding the Prime Minister’s COVID-19 tests
and use of the COVID-19 tracer app
Thank you for your request made under the Official Information Act 1982 (the Act),
received on 3 November 2021. You requested:
“1.How many covid 19 tests has the prime minister undergone since february
2020?
2. Have all the tests been pcr/ nasal swab or some other test (rapid antigen etc)?
3. How many scans of the covid 19 tracer app has the prime minister made since
the introduction of the app?
4. Can you please provide a monthly breakdown as to the number/amount of qr
scans/sign ins the prime minister has made via the covid 19 tracer app each
month since it has been in use?
5.Has the prime minister ever returned a positive result for a covid 19 test of any
kind including any false positive results?”
I believe that the information you have requested is more closely connected to the
functions of the Prime Minister, Rt Hon Jacinda Ardern. Accordingly, I have decided
under section 14(b)(ii) of the Act to transfer your request to the Prime Minister.
The Prime Minister has the usual timeframes under the Act from receipt of this transfer
to make a decision on your request.
