Request for communications between Transpower and the Ministry of Health 
I am writing in response to the following Official Information Act (OIA) requests:  
  your request directly to Transpower, dated 19 December 2021, for all 
communications between Transpower and the Ministry of Health on the topic of 
'Vaccine Mandates' between dates of 01/03/2021 and 18/11/2021; and 
  your request to the Ministry of Health, transferred to Transpower on 12 January 
2021, for all communications between Ministry of Health and Transpower, on the 
subject of 'COVID-19' between the dates of 01/03/2021 and 18/12/2021. 
Transpower has not had any communications with the Ministry of Health on COVID-19 or 
the topic of vaccine mandates.  Our only conversation with the Ministry of Health has been 
via a phone call to Healthline in response to a case of COVID-19 and/or clarity regarding 
close or casual contact of a positive COVID-19 case. Transpower therefore declines your 
request under section 18(g) of the OIA on the basis the information requested is not held.  
You have a right to seek a review by the Ombudsman of this decision.  Information about 
how to make a complaint is available at www.ombudsman.parliament.nz.
