Thank you for your email of 12 January 2022, requesting under the Official Information Act
1982 (the Act):
‘…a list of vacancy (ministerial appointment only, e.g. board member, Lay member, Trustee
etc) that the nomination period has been closed but stil under consideration by the DIA or
relevant Minister.
In your list, can you please included the date that vacancy been advertised, what method
you have used to publicly advertise the position and when the vacancy been closed as wel .
Also, I would like to know if you have any future opening in 2022. e.g. the position that wil
call for nomination in the year of 2022 or in the process of obtaining Minster approval to
start the recruitment process.
I am writing to inform you that the timeframe to respond to your request has been extended
by 10 working days, from 15 February to 1 March 2022. The original date took into account
the summer holiday period from 25 December 2021 to 15 January 2022 inclusive, as provided
by the Ombudsma
n (https://www.ombudsman.parliament.nz/agency-assistance/official-
information-calculators).
This extension is made subject to section 15A(1)(a) of the Act. This is because the request
entails the provision of or a search through a large quantity of information. The request cannot
be met in the original timeframe without unreasonably interfering with the operations of the
Department.
However, we will still endeavour to provide the response to you earlier if possible.
You have the right to seek an investigation and review of my decision under section 28(3) of
