Hi XXXXXX,
I just got this message back from my colleagues in Infrastructure – basically they say it’s all good but please note the following.

Hi Will,
2, BoI Electrical will of course put in a circuit breaker – they are a FNDC nominated supplier so will meet required standards. Do you require this specific requirement in writing – in what format? An email from BoI electrical; a letter from them?
1, Can you advise what exactly will constitute a ‘detailed plan’ please?
We’re proposing a extended concrete plinth beside the existing one with a small Stainless Steel enclosure (minimum H500 x L400 x W150 but maybe slightly larger in reality) supplied by BoI Electrical, in the location
in the image below. This is proposed to be either free standing beside or fixed to the existing FNDC s/s electrical box – this would not encroach on any pump or lifting requirements as currently exist. A low voltage cable and trunking will be trenched away
from the new enclosure to the Bridge (from where it will be cable routed alongside existing services on the Bridge) which will not affect the Pump Station – this would be supplied and installed by Northland CCTV.
Do you require a working drawing or formal plan of this ? What format is required?
Thanks
XXXXX

Hi XXXXXX,
I’ve contacted Andy Finch and his answer to your question is ‘in principle yes’. However, he asks for details about a plan:

Hi folks,
My colleagues Andy and Glenn have been checking with Far North Waters regarding the issue near Waitangi bridge, please see Glenn’s email below – does this pose any problems for you?

Hi Andy and Will
I’ve checked with Far North Waters (FNW) and we would require two things:
- a plan of where the cabinet will go to ensure FNW still have free access to the area to lift pumps etc….; and following approval of the exact location
- that Focus Paihia also put a circuit breaker in on the power supply, so as to not trip out the pump station in the event of an electrical fault with the CCTV system.
Cheers
Glenn

- Power source near Waitangi bridge: Focus Paihia would like the Council’s approval to be able to plug in to the power source at Waitangi Bridge
- Insurance Liability: this will be picked up by Focus Paihia.
“For the Waitangi Sewerage Site – we propose to install a small stainless steel enclosure on a concrete pad adjacent to the existing station - BoI Electrical will take power to the enclosure – then Northland CCTV will run a low voltage feed out onto the cameras on the bridge. This means the supply is standalone from the padlocked FNDC asset
