Information Request – Christchurch Fire Station appliances 
 
I refer to your official information request dated 27 January 2022 asking for the following 
information:  
 
Can you please tell me what appliances are going to be stationed at the new Christchurch City Fire 
Station when it opens? 
 
The deployment of appliances to the new Christchurch City Station will be dependent on 
operational and planning needs, which are variable. At this stage, Fire and Emergency New 
Zealand expects the following appliances will be placed on station:  
•  ChCh217 (Pump Rescue Tender). 
•  ChCH214 (Type 4 Aerial Appliance). 
•  ChCh216 – (Type 5 Aerial Appliance). 
•  ChCh2111 – (Tanker). 
•  Auxiliary appliances and vehicles as per operational needs.
