15 February 2022
Dear M Taylor
Thank you for your email dated 11 February 2022, requesting information regarding all parole
decisions between November 2021 and February 2022. Your request has been considered
under the Official Information Act 1982 (OIA).
We have identified this as a situation where section 18(f) of the OIA applies. Section 18(f)
concerns the refusal of requests when “the information requested cannot be made available
without substantial collation or research”.
The information you have requested requires substantial collation and neither fixing a charge,
nor extending the time to respond to your request, will enable a response. Having consulted
with you on this matter, there is nothing further that we can do to enable your request; we
therefore refuse it.
I trust the information provided is of assistance. If you have any concerns you are advised of
your right to contact the Office of the Ombudsman. Contact details are: Office of the
Ombudsman, PO Box 10152, Wel ington 6143.
Yours sincerely
