I refer to your official information request dated 20 February 2022 regarding proposed or
potential roading upgrades in the East Auckland area.
Part of the information you have requested is enclosed. However, we have refused your
request for information which relates to:
•
Connection between Santa Cruz Drive and Point View Drive, Dannemora utilising the
road reserve that has been set aside for such a purpose under 17(e) LGOIMA because
document does not exist.
•
Potential roading connection between Ballarat Street and Abbotts Way, Ellerslie
utilising the road reserve that has been set aside for such a purpose under 17(e)
LGOIMA because document does not exist.
The information you have requested is enclosed; we have endeavoured to address the
points as set out in your original correspondence.
Plans and documentation regarding any potential upgrade of the Give Way-controlled
intersection of Hollyford Drive and Aspiring Avenue.
Auckland Transport is investigating the signalisation of this intersection. This investigation is
at an early stage and therefore documents are not currently available, once designs are
completed consultation will be undertaken on the proposed design. We anticipated this
consultation will be undertaken towards mid-2022.
The Hollyford Drive upgrade as part of Mill Road Connections was proposed for funding as
part of development of the 2021 Regional Land Transport Plan, although it was not prioritised
for funding in the final Plan. The submission summary template (attached) is the only
document/plan available.

Road intersections.
This section of Chapel Road was proposed for funding as part of the development of the
2021 Regional Land Transport Plan, although it was not prioritised for funding in the final

Bypass of Whitford village and upgrade of Whitford-Maraetai Road to
Beachlands/Maraetai utilising the designation that has been set aside for these purposes.
The Whitford Bypass was proposed for funding as part of the development of the 2021
Regional Land Transport Plan, although it was not prioritised for funding in the final Plan.
