I refer to your email received on 22 February 2022 which has been considered under
the Official Information Act 1982 (OIA). This is noted below:
Could you please provide me with an up to date amount spent on the national
Erebus memorial, broken down into the various components, i.e. Security,
Materials, and Design Consultation, Expenses relating to Legal Services etc etc
In the below table you will find the total spend on the National Erebus Memorial project
separated in costs for security, materials, design consultation, project management,
technical consultants, keeping construction contractors on standby, and consents.
Note that the below table covers costs up to the end of February 2022.
Costs of security, project management and costs to keep the main contractor on
standby are being withheld under section 9(2)(b)(ii) of the OIA as this information is
commercially sensitive. The other costs are as follows:
