Thank you for your email of 24 February 2022 requesting information relating to the
Agricultural and Marketing Research Development Trust. Your request has been considered
under the Of icial Information Act 1982 (OIA).
You requested
“the term of reference of this board, member's current term of appointment, their pay
rate and the full board meeting minutes from January 2021 to now”
The Agriculture and Marketing Research and Development Trust (AGMARDT) exists to promote
and encourage New Zealand's agricultural, pastoral, horticultural and forestry industries through
the administration of grants. The Trust is independent from the government and is not a Crown
entity. We do not hold most of the information sought, because it is beyond the scope of work we
do with the Trust.
AGMARDT is an independent not-for-profit organisation that is governed by a trust deed. You may
find its trust deed useful in understanding the role and function of the organisation. The trust deed
and amendments are available publicly on the Charities Register at
https:/ register.charities.govt.nz/CharitiesRegister/Search
The Ministry for Primary Industries (MPI) does not hold terms of reference for the board, therefore
this is declined under section 18(g) of the OIA -
that the information requested is not held by the
department or venture or Minister of the Crown or organisation.
Trustees are appointed by the Minister for three-year terms, with the possibility of extension. Per
annum, Trustees are paid $18,000 and the Chair receives $23,760. The current composition of the
