Request for information - assault on Hayden Flood 
Thank you for your Of icial Information Act 1982 (OIA) request of 25 March 2022, 
in which you requested the following information: 
I request the following.  
The building/construction company name, location of the building site, 
company owner and the full name of the person who allegedly hit Hayden 
Flood with a shovel. Any details/interviews/documents surrounding the 
alleged assault.

This matter is currently stil  under investigation, therefore your request has been 
refused in full under the following grounds of the OIA: 
• section 9(2)(a), to protect the privacy of natural persons
• section 6(c), as the making available of the information is likely to
prejudice the maintenance of the law including the prevention,
investigation and detection of offences and the right to a fair trial.
Police considers that the interest requiring protection by withholding the 
information is not outweighed by any public interest in its release. 
You have the right to ask the Ombudsman to review my decision if you are not 
satisfied with the response to your request. Information about how to make a
