I am responding on behalf of the University to your recent OIA request, in which you have asked for the
following information relating to Massey Global Limited.:
“May I kindly request the current director/board members of Massey Global Limited and its full board meeting
minutes from 1st Jan 2021 to now. The term of appointments, pay rate and how did you call for expression of
interest for the board of directors.”
The Directors of Massey Global Limited are publicly available on the Companies Office website, and are
Carolyn Dimond, Tere McGonagle-Daly and Ian Marshall.
The current Director terms will conclude on 30/06/2024, 30/06/2024 and 01/08/2023 respectively.
Two of the three Directors are Executive Directors (members of Massey University staff) and are not paid
Director fees. Remunerated Directors currently receive $10,000 per annum. As per the university’s Controlled
Entities Governance Framework Policy, Directors are appointed by the Vice-Chancellor.
Your request for the Board meeting minutes is refused on the following grounds:

Section 9(2)(i)3: To protect information where it is necessary to enable the university to carry out
commercial activities without prejudice or disadvantage.

Section 9(2)(j): To enable the university to carry on negotiations without prejudice or disadvantage.
