Re: ‘White Lady’ food truck 
 
Thank you for your email which we received on 5 July 2022, requesting information about 
the ‘White Lady’ food truck. 
 
The specific details of your request and our response is below: 
 
According to media reports, the Regulatory Compliance Unit has made changes to the 
license granted to the enterprise operating the 'White Lady' food truck, in response to 
complaints. 
 
Kindly disclose al  complaints received regarding said business from January 2021 
onwards. 
 
Our Licensing & Regulatory Compliance department have provided the attached information 
relating to your request. 
 
Auckland Council does not generally release details that identify complainants. We consider 
complaints are made with an expectation of confidence. We rely on complaints received 
from members of the public to carry out many of our regulatory and enforcement functions 
and we believe members of the public would hesitate to supply similar information to us in 
future if they thought their personal information would be shared. 
 
Therefore, we are withholding the names of people who made these complaints under the 
LGOIMA - s7(2)(a) to protect the privacy of natural persons and s7(2)(c)(i) because release 
would likely prejudice the supply of similar information, or information from the same source, 
and it is in the public interest that such information should continue to be supplied. 
 
 
Decisions relating to the information that is being released to you were made by James 
Hassall, General Manager Licensing and Regulatory Compliance.
