Ministry) requesting, under the Official Information Act 1982 (the Act), the
following information regarding the Benefits Review Committee:

May I have all the current members over all the region's current term
of appointment?

Beside using jobs.govt.nz and what other channel you will use to notify
public this call for nomination?

Also, I noted " Closing date: 22nd July 2022", which means, after 20
working days you will know how many people has applied to this
position. Please kindly provide how many applications you have
received from each channel, e.g. 2 from jobs.govt.nz etc
I can confirm that there are five current Community Representatives
appointed to the Nelson Benefits Review Committee. They are as follows:
• Jane Marion Orchard, tenure ends 18 July 2023
• Lester Oakes, tenure ends 2 September 2024
• Gail Collingwood, tenure ends 2 September 2024
• Myra Anne Denise Dick, tenure ends 30 August 2024
• Helen Neame, tenure ends 27 February 2027
When the Ministry seeks to fill a vacancy in a Ministerial appointment role,
each region will publicise the role as much as possible through various
avenues such as newspapers and online.
In regard to your request for the number people who have applied for the
position, your request is refused under section 18(e) of the Act as the
information does not yet exist. You are welcome to resubmit a request for
this information after 22 July 2022, when the application date closes.

you made your request are:
• to create greater openness and transparency about the plans, work
and activities of the Government,
• to increase the ability of the public to participate in the making and
administration of our laws and policies and
• to lead to greater accountability in the conduct of public affairs.
