Questions 1 and 2
We have interpreted this question as the number of full-time nurses as at 31 December
each year 2017-2022 as we collect data as at the last day of the end of each quarter.
Please note there may be rare situations where a nurse works for more than one district, in
which case there will be a small overcount.

Question 3 The number of nurses that resigned between March 2021 and March
2022. A monthly breakdown of resignations, if possible, please.
We have included the number of new starters each month. With regard to the number of
leavers, please note these figures may include nurses who have left one district to start
work at another or have moved to another role across the sector. Leavers have been
interpreted as people who voluntarily left their place of employment.
