Ministry of Justice (the Ministry) administered Tribunals, Authorities and Boards. Specifical y you
requested:

Page 13, MoJ has appointed 38 Māori, 14 pacific, 9 Asian and 1 MELAA member to its
boards. can you please provide the name of the each [sic] person and the position for
appointments regards to the above?
I attach lists of the relevant bodies (by appointing Minister) with the name of the appointee, their
identified ethnicity, date of appointment and date of warrant expiration. Note that where the
expiration dates have already passed, reappointment considerations may be pending and the
members continue under carry over provisions in the relevant legislation.
I also note a slight discrepancy between the number of Māori appointees identified in the report
(38) and our internal stocktake (37) and it could be that one “did not specify” has been counted in
the Māori total.
