Thank you for your request for information dated 08 August 2022 regarding Milldale and Wainui. 
At this stage, Auckland Transport (AT) are planning to introduce a service linking Milldale with 
Hibiscus Coast Station.  Subject to budget and driver availability we expect this to go-live towards 
the end of 2022. This will be an interim service and will only serve John Fair Drive at this stage. This is 
due to the limited road network in Milldale that is suitable for buses. There is also continued 
property development requiring regular deliveries of building materials from heavy vehicles, which 
could impact on AT’s ability to deliver a reliable bus service. 
As Milldale continues to grow, AT will be working with the property developers to identify suitable 
bus routes, expanding the service as the road network grows. At this point there are no set 
timeframes, as we wil  be reliant on the rate of development. We expect that there may be more 
temporary introductions of bus routes in this area until such time as the road network is fully 
developed and a permanent service is put in place.     
Should you believe that we have not responded appropriately to your request, you are able to make 
a complaint to the Office of the Ombudsman in accordance with section 27(3) of the LGOIMA and 
seek an investigation and review in regard to this matter.
