Note that in 2020 the course structure for Year 2 of training was changed to include only one community
placement of a longer duration, instead of two community placements of shorter duration (to explain the N/A
entries in the above table).
• How many students have attained a postgraduate clinical psychology degree from your tertiary
education institution annually over the past five years?
For 2018 – 2022, the number of students attaining the Postgraduate Diploma in Clinical Psychology
(PGDipClinPsyc) each year is 11, except for 2021 when the total was 6. Please note that the 2022
number includes those students have completed the requirements of the PGDipClinPsyc but have
not yet had their qualification conferred (granted through a graduation ceremony in person or in
absentia).
• What is the number of students who have undertaken a placement as part of a postgraduate
clinical psychology degree through your tertiary education institution, annually, over the past five
years?

Please note that we have interpreted this question to be asking the total number of unique students
in a given year who undertook any form of placement/internship e.g. one student may have had
two-three placements, but this was counted as one.
