Our system does not record the actual starting time of a bus where it varies from the scheduled time.
However, it does record the variance in time from the scheduled starting time to the actual starting
time. We have included steps to work out the actual starting time in the notes section of Attachment
One, and copied below:
* split out the whole minutes & the decimal (seconds)
* add the 'whole minutes' to the start time
* multiply the decimal by 60 to convert to the actual number of seconds & add to the start time
e.g. for route 83 on 31/8/22, start time 14:20, variance 3.58
variance - whole minutes
0:03:00
convert decimal to actual seconds (0.58 * 60 = 34.8 )
0:00:35
start time (or scheduled time)
14:20:00
actual departure time
14:23:35
If you have any concerns with the decision(s) referred to in this letter, you have the right to request
an investigation and review by the Ombudsman under section 27(3) of the Local Government Official
Information and Meetings Act 1987.
Please note that it is our policy to proactively release our responses to official information requests
where possible. Our response to your request wil be published shortly on Greater Wellington’s
website with your personal information removed.
