Thank you for your email of 2 September 2022 requesting information relating to testing of 
food products for agricultural herbicides and pesticides. 
 
The Ministry for Primary Industries (MPI) wil  not be able to respond within the timeframe set 
out in the Official Information Act 1982 (OIA) pursuant to Section 15A(1)(a) as your request 
necessitates a search through a large quantity of information and meeting the normal 20 
working day time limit would unreasonably interfere with the operations of MPI. 
 
MPI wil  reply to your request by no later than 28 October, earlier if possible. 
 
Should you have any concerns with this extension, I would encourage you to raise these with 
the Ministry for Primary Industries at [email address]. Alternatively, you 
are advised of your right to also raise any concerns with the Office of the Ombudsman.
