Request for information
Thank you for your Official Information Act 1982 (OIA) request of 16
September 2022, in which you requested:
I would like to request a copy of the footage from the Eagle (Police
Helicopter) taken during the Pursuit and Firearms incident involving
a stolen BMW and carjacked vehicle that took place in the
El erslie/Penrose area on Thursday 15th July 2021.
I would like to request the footage for the entire duration of the
incident, from the time Eagle located the stolen BMW SUV, to the
time that Eagle left the scene of the shooting at Great South Road
and South Eastern Highway.
I would also like to request a copy of the critical incident
investigation report pertaining to the above incident.
Your request has been declined under s6(c) of the OIA, as the making
available of the information would be likely to prejudice the maintenance of
the law, including the prevention, investigation, and detection of offences
and the right to a fair trial.
