Thank you for your request made under the Local Government Official Information and Meetings
Act 1987 (the Act), received on 26 September 2022. You requested the fol owing information:
• Al correspondence with or regarding the NZ Initiative for the last 12 months.
• Provide all funding and in-kind support provided to the NZ Initiative for each of the last five
financial years, indicating the purpose of the funding.
• Any reports or other material describing or evaluating the benefits that Wellington City
Council receives for this investment.
Wellington City Council has partly
granted your request for information.
Prior to 2020 the Council had subscribed to the NZ Initiative to contribute to its independent
policy research. However, in 2020 the new Chief Executive, Barbara McKerrow, received a
subscription request from the NZ Initiative and made the decision to cancel it.
There is no correspondence with or regarding the NZ Initiative for the last 12 months or any report
or material describing or evaluating the benefits that the Council received for this investment. This
part of your request has been refused under section 17(g) of the Act that the information requested
is not held by the local authority.
