Thank you for your email of 3 October 2022 requesting the following information under the Official 
Information Act 1982 (the Act): 
 
1- Weekly data, showing the number of single-vehicle motor vehicle crashes per week, for the 
most recent five year period that records are available. If this information is not readily available 
as weekly data, then daily, fortnightly, or monthly data will suffice. 
 
2- If it is available, data that further breaks down the totals as per #1 into the age ranges: 17 
and younger, 18-34, 35-49, 50-64, 65 and older. 
 
On 3 October 2022, your request was transferred from the New Zealand Police to Waka Kotahi NZ 
Transport Agency for response, as we operate the Crash Analysis System (CAS).
