Information Request – Fire and Emergency and United Fire Brigades Association joint meeting 
 
I refer to your official information request dated 7 October 2022 asking for the following 
information. 
  The FENZ Board meeting minutes of 30 Jul 2021 published on FYI.org include at 16, 
"Management advised that the United Fire Brigades Association (UFBA) was keen to have a 
Board-to- Board meeting after its annual conference in November. It was agreed that 
management would engage with the UFBA about potential dates." And the action point, 
"Engage with the UFBA about possible dates for a joint Board meeting after the UFBA’s annual 
conference in November". 
 
Please provide the minutes of this joint FENZ-UFBA Board meeting. 
 
I can confirm a meeting occurred on 29 November 2021 between the Board Chairs and the Chief 
Executives of Fire and Emergency and the UFBA. This meeting was not minuted. As we do not hold 
the minutes you asked for, your request is declined under section 18(e) of the Official Information 
Act, the document al eged to contain the information requested does not exist. The action point 
referred to in your request was marked as completed in February this year and recorded as 
"Complete - Chairs engage regularly,".
