Thank you for your Official Information Act (Act) request received by the Department of Internal
Affairs (Department) on 10 October 2022.
You requested –

I noted there are many COGS positions do not have enough applicants, some even have
none. What is department's guideline on these situations? Would you appoint members
to these COGS committees.
Once votes confirmed, would you release the vote count per each applicants publicly?
In response to your request I can provide you with the following information.
With the positions that have not been filled by the Local Distribution Committee (LDC) elections,
the Department will co-opt members from the community to fill the vacant positions on the
consideration of gender, ethnic background, knowledge and skills of the existing LDC.
While the vote count is not published on our website, the Department will publish a confirmed
list of successful candidates once election results have been confirmed. Please see the following
