Thank you for your request of 25 October 2022 to my office under the Official Information Act
1982 (the Act) for the following information:
“In the 2013/14 and 2014/15 financial year Auror (previously known as eyedentify),
was granted two separate lots of tax payer funding under the New Zealand Venture

Please provide:
1. Any documents or material related to the proposal which including any reference
to license plate recognition technology or ANPR related references. If there is
substantive material available. please provide a list of such and I wil narrow my
request.
2. Any consultation with the NZ Police regarding this propsal. If so, provide the
communications. (emails etc)
3. Any record of the conditions of the funding.”
This letter is to notify you that I am transferring your request to the Ministry of Business,
Innovation and Employment. This is because your request is believed to be more closely
connected with the functions of the Ministry of Business, Innovation and Employment. In
these circumstances, I am required by section 14 of the Act to transfer your request.
You have the right under section 28(3) of the Act to seek an investigation and review by the
