Thank you for your request, which was received by The Department of Internal Affairs (the
Department) on 12 November 2022. You have requested the fol owing information:
1. All applications to The Film and Literature Board of Review of the Past 12 Months up to
the 30th November 2022
2. A Copy of all decisions to Grant and Refuse Leave to apply to the Film and Literature
Board of Review.
3. A copy of all Final decisions from the Film and Literature Board of Review from the Past
12 months up to and including to 30th November 2022
4. A Copy of All Written Submissions to Film and Literature Board of Review for Publications
being reviewed.
5. Examination transcripts
6. Supplementary materials (could be video footage, content declaration questionnaire,)
7. Emails and its attachment to and/or from FVLB, OFLC, distributor, publisher, developer
and Internal Affairs staff and Board Members.
8. Any other email / Mail / letter correspondence relating to the Film and Literature Board
of Review for the Past 12 months including to the 30th November 2022.
In accordance with the Act, the Department is required to respond to your request within a
20-working day timeframe. I am writing to advise that we will be extending this timeframe
under the fol owing sections of the Act:
• 15A(1)(a) the request is for a large quantity of official information or necessitates a
search through a large quantity of information and meeting the original time limit
would unreasonably interfere with the operations of the department or the venture
or the Minister of the Crown or the organisation; and
• 15A(1)(b) consultations necessary to make a decision on the request are such that a
proper response to the request cannot reasonably be made within the original time
limit.
Our response timeframe is therefore extended to 27 January 2023. This new due date takes
into account 25 December 2022 to 15 January 2023 inclusive that are not counted as
“working days” by the Act. We wil however endeavour to provide a decision on your
request sooner where practicable.
You have the right to seek an investigation and review by the Ombudsman of this
