REQUEST FOR OFFICIAL INFORMATION - EXTENSION OF TIME REQUIRED TO REACH A DECISION
We refer to your official information request dated 4 December 2022 for:
• Copy of all correspondence relating to the privately occupied hut on Pigeon Island since 1
August 2022. This includes all email attachments and any meeting/telephone recollections
The Local Government Official Information and Meetings Act 1987 requires that we advise you of our
decision on your request no later than 20 working days after the day we received your request.
Unfortunately, we are unable to meet that time limit and we are therefore writing to notify you of an
extension of the time to make our decision to 7 February 2023.
This extension is necessary for the following reasons:
• your request is for a large quantity of information and meeting the original time limit would
unreasonably interfere with our operations,
• your request necessitates a search through a large quantity of information and meeting the
original time limit would unreasonably interfere with our operations, and
• consultations necessary to make a decision on your request are such that a proper response
cannot be reasonably made within the original time limit.
We trust this response satisfactorily answers your request.
