Thank you for your email dated 28 October 2014 requesting information about Simply 
Brilliant Communications. 
The principal of Simply Brilliant Communications is a sole trader  
The name of that individual is withheld under Section 7(2)a. We consider that in this case the 
information relating to that individual can be withheld to “protect the privacy of natural 
persons” and this interest is not “outweighed by other considerations which render it 
desirable, in the public interest, to make that information available”.  
AT can confirm that the individual has over 20 years experience in the communications field 
and has also provided contract support to Auckland Council and other CCOs in recent years.  
We trust that the information has clarified the situation however you have the right in 
accordance with section 27(3) of the Local Government Official Information and Meetings 
Act 1987 (LGOIMA) to make a complaint to the Office of the Ombudsman if you are not 
satisfied with our response.
