Request for Information – Local Government Official Information and Meetings Act
(LGOIMA) 1987: Extension of time
We refer to your official information request dated 20 December 2022 for:
1. Copies of email correspondence relating to your LGOIMA request dated 15 November 2022.
2. Minutes of any meeting where your LGOIMA request dated 15 November 2022 was discussed.
3. Copies of entries into notebooks, and dates, used by any council staff or contractors that make
reference to your LGOIMA request dated 15 November 2022.
4. If there have been oral discussions (related to this LGOIMA) that have not been documented,
please briefly summarise what was said, on what date and by whom. This includes telephone
conversations.
The LGOIMA requires that we advise you of our decision on your request no later than
20 working days after the day we received your request. Unfortunately, it will not be possible to
meet that time limit in this instance.
We are writing to notify you of an extension of the time to make our decision. This extension is
necessary under section 14(1)(b) of the LGOIMA, because consultations with Greater
Wellington are necessary to make a decision on your request, and these are such that a proper
response cannot reasonably be made within the original time limit. The revised time by which
we will respond to your request is Friday 17 February 2023.
You have the right to seek an investigation and review by the Ombudsman of this decision.
Information about how to make a complaint is available a
t www.ombudsman.parliament.nz or
freephone 0800 802 602.
Yours sincerely
