Information Request – 4WD Vehicles currently in service 
 
I refer to your official information request dated 29 January 2023 asking for a list of 4WD vehicles 
that are currently in service with Fire and Emergency New Zealand. You also asked for the callsign, 
registration, region and district.  
 
In accordance with the provisions of the Official Information Act 1982 (OIA), I enclose Appendix 
One which contains the list of the 4WD vehicles in the Fire and Emergency New Zealand, their 
callsign, registration, region and district.  
 
Please note that there is no industry consensus on the definition between four-wheel drive and all 
wheel drive so both have been included in Appendix one.  
 
You have the right to seek an investigation and review by the Ombudsman of this decision.
