Official Information Act request 23.04 LAWS200 Breakdown of grades
I refer to the Official Information Act (the Act) request dated 1 February 2023 for information relating to the
breakdown of certain LAWS200 courses. You have requested the fol owing:
Whole Year 2022:

For the papers listed above, please provide the fol owing data for the years 2022 and 2021:
(1) The final grade distribution for the paper (broken down by letter grade, e.g. A+, A, A-,
(2) The number of students who completed the paper
(3) The mean and median final marks for the paper (percentage)
Please see the attached datasets for 2021 and 2022. Please note that where 5 or less students achieved a
certain grade, the individual number is not provided, but a range of less than or equal to five. This is done
under s 9(2)(a) of the Act, to protect the privacy of natural persons. Where any grounds under s 9(2) of the Act,
the public interest must be considered under s 9(1). It is in the public interest to provide a range of the number
of students that achieved a particular grade, whilst protecting those students from being individual y
identifiable.
