Wellington Pride Parade 
 
Thank you for your request made under the Local Government Official Information and Meetings 
Act 1987 (the Act), received on 21 February 2023. You requested the fol owing information: 
- all communications between Council staff or Council ors and Wel ington International Pride Inc in 
the last 12 months. 
- all communications, internal or external, regarding the Wel ington International Pride Parade in 
the last 12 months. 
 
Wellington City Council has granted your request for information. 
 
Wellington City Council staff had discussions with the group regarding a possible parade in 2022 for 
the coming year. Council staff had a meeting with a representative from Wellington International 
Pride on 1 February 2023 who confirmed that the parade would not be going ahead. Councillors 
have advised that there were no communications held with Wel ington International Pride Inc. 
 
Below are the documents that fall in scope of your request and my decision to release the 
document. Any redactions made are for privacy reasons under section 7(2)(a) of the Act.
