Construction dates will depend on commercial negotiations, approvals, outcomes of investigations
and public consultations.
Prior to the main projects in Phase 1 commencing, some targeted improvements are being developed
and are scheduled to start in the middle of this year. Targeted improvements are lower cost and easy-
to-implement projects across the city, focusing on walking, cycling and public transport safety.
In particular, please provide an update on the expected deployment of each initiative in
Phase 1, with an itemised list of timeframe for each bus, cycling, and walking change.
The Phase 1 projects are still at an early stage of investigation. As such, an itemised list of timeframes
for each walking, cycling and bus change is not available as options have not yet been selected or
confirmed, and designs have not been prepared to this level of detail.
I am therefore refusing this part of your request under section 18(g)(i) of the Act, as the information
requested is not held by the department or Minister of the Crown or organisation and I have no
grounds for believing that the information is held by another department or Minister of the Crown or
organisation, or by a local authority.
Under section 28 of the Act, you have the right to ask the Ombudsman to review my decision to refuse
this part of your request. The contact details for the Ombudsman can be located at
