Thank you for your Official Information Act (Act) request received by the Department of Internal
Affairs (Department) on 6 March 2023.
You requested –

The following data for-Citizenship Application submitted in October 2022 (intent is to
understand how many of the applications submitted in October 2022 have been
progressed, not interested in applications submitted in previous months and worked on in
October 2022).

number of applications in each bucket separately
We have interpreted your request to be for, the processing status of citizenship by grant
applications received in October 2022 and the number of unassigned applications, received in
October 2022, broken down by buckets.
In response to your request please refer to Appendix A, attached. Appendix A provides you with
a breakdown of the following information:
• Table one – Citizenship by grant applications received in October 2022 and their status
• Table two – Number of unassigned citizenship by grant applications, by bucket, received
in October 2022.
As this information may be of interest to other members of the public, the Department has
decided to proactively release a copy of this response on the DIA website. All requestor data,
