Following on from our response to your Official Information Act 1982 (OIA) request of 21 March
2023 (OIA ref. 28588), you submitted a new request on 10 May 2023. This request asked for
the same subject matter (in relation to understanding how the Government has spent a
committed $1.3 billion to support countries most vulnerable to the effects of climate change)
with the timeframe revised to be for information
“from 2022”. Please find a response below.
Information relevant to your request is attached. Please note that this data is as at 15 May
2023, and contains activities that are subject to ongoing review and may have data corrections
occur in future. The data is presented in line with our reporting standards and includes scaling
where climate change is not the principal objective.
Some information in scope of your request is withheld in full under the following sections of the
OIA:
s9(2)(a): to protect the privacy of natural persons
s9(2)(b)(ii): to protect information where the making available of the information would be
likely unreasonably prejudice the commercial position of the person who supplied or who is
the subject of the information; and
6(d): as the making available of the information would be likely to endanger the safety of
any person.
Where the information has been withheld under section 9 of the OIA, we have identified no
public interest in releasing the information that would override the reasons for withholding it.
