Thank you for your email of 22 March 2023, requesting under the Official Information Act 1982 
(the Act), the following information: 
 
 
I would like to see all information provided by Immigration NZ and/or other subject 
matter experts on the matter of the decision to grant Posie Parker permission to enter 
New Zealand. 
 
Please find information within scope of your request attached as Appendix One.  
 
Please note that some information has been withheld under the following grounds of the Act: 
 
•  Section 9(2)(a), to protect the privacy of natural persons. 
•  Section 9(2)(g)(ii), to maintain the effective conduct of public affairs through the 
protection of such Ministers, members of organisations, officers and employees from 
improper pressure and harassment 
•  Section 9(2)(h), to maintain legal professional privilege. 
 
Some information has also been marked as out of scope of the request. Where information 
has been withheld from a document, the grounds are also noted in the document itself.   
 
The  release  of  court  documents  has  been  refused  under  section  18(c)(i)  of  the  Act,  as  the 
making available of the information requested would be contrary the provisions of a specified 
enactment, that being the Senior Courts Act 2016. 
 
In accordance with section 9(1) of the Act, I have considered whether there are any factors 
that make it desirable, in the public interest, to release information to which section 9 of the 
Act  applied.  I  do  not  consider  that  any  public  interest  considerations  outweigh  the  need  to 
withhold this information. 
 
You  have  the  right,  under  section  28(3)  of  the  Act,  to  ask  the  Ombudsman  to  review  any 
decisions made under this request.
